Daily challenge

One challenge a day, the same for everyone

The day's 4 × 4 layout is drawn from the date: the same cards in the same places for everyone. Find all the pairs to complete the challenge.

  • The same layout for everyone, until midnight.
  • Finding all the pairs completes the challenge, no matter how many moves it takes.
  • The shared result is your move count, never the layout.
  • Completing a challenge, any of the four, extends your streak by one day.

The Free play / Daily challenge toggle sits at the very top of the board. The challenge never touches your free-play best scores, and free play stays unlimited.

Quick start

Five steps to your first game

  1. Flip a card. Tap it: it shows its symbol.
  2. Flip a second one. If the two symbols match, the pair stays face up.
  3. Memorize your misses. If they differ, they flip back; remember where they were.
  4. Count your moves. Each pair of cards flipped counts as one move. The goal: as few as possible.
  5. Clear the board. Find all the pairs to win; choose 4 × 4 or 6 × 6.

Tips

Five things you only learn by playing

  • Flip cards you've never seen first: every new card is free information.
  • Name the symbol and its position in your head: verbal memory holds up better than visual memory.
  • When you know a pair, open it right away before you forget.
  • Each card carries a distinct symbol, not just a color: trust the shape.
  • At 6 × 6 there are eighteen pairs: work quadrant by quadrant so you don't scatter your attention.
